Mission 10: Keep A Log, Blog Or Journal
In Mission 3: Flick On The Action Switch we changed our mindset to notice and put energy into specific actions.
In the missions since then, we’ve decided what those specific actions should be – in both diet and exercise.
Now we’re going to set ourselves up to monitor those actions, deal with the inevitable lapses, and maintain motivation.
We’ll do this by becoming observers in our weight-loss journey. And to observe, we need to suspend judgment.
The payoff for this observation is invaluable. It will yield information about what works for us and what doesn’t work for us – information that can’t be found in any book, program or system.
So let’s get set up to uncover that information!

I use my iPad to write down everything I eat and all the calories I burn. I keep track everyday.

I use myfitnesspal to journal all my exercise and food. I have been on fitnesspal for 120 days now and it really showed me how to really manage my time for exercise.
I had a frustrating day yesterday because of my feet. My old blister was acting up again and had another problem with other foot so I was frustrated that I couldn’t walk last night. Going to podiatrist this afternoon and get it taken care once and for all so I can do all my walking. I want to do 3 hours a day:) I really wanted my Laura Secord egg, but I remembered my good weight loss and only got a small piece to soothe my frustration and it was ok. Now a new day is beginning and I will walk tonight:) Have a good day ladies:)

Using a Facebook event page…my friends all use Facebook and most of them are fit freaks… I don’t want to be like them, but their encouragement is great!

I have many journalling books but don’t use them because they are so nice. What am I going to do? Take them to heaven? Since I have committed to keeping a blood sugar, food and exercise log, the ‘what did the day do’ stuff will be kept in a separate log. I really hate journalling as I think its all a bunch of repetitive crap about a uninteresting life. Hm, take off the judge coat? But do think it will help as a control function.
