Mission 1: Unlock Your True Motivation

There’s a reason this mission is the first one.

Without motivation, you’re unlikely to succeed at your weight-loss goal.

The best knowledge, support, tools and resources will not be enough if they’re unsupported by a strong desire to be slimmer. No matter how good my system and suggestions are, you have to implement them. I can’t do this without you.

With motivation, you will succeed.

You may not lose as much weight as someone else, or at the same speed, but you will get slimmer. It’s that simple.

The secret is to tap into your true motivation for losing weight – which is often not the reason you think you want to lose weight.

This true motivation is the source of your weight-loss success.

So let’s find it and unlock its power.

I LOVED this challenge! I know sometimes it is easy to stress about what I can see on the outside, but for me what others see– just like the number on the scales– is a reflection of my commitment (or lack of commitment) to good health. If I am taking care of my only body, I will reap the rewards of energy and vitality… and THAT allows me to do everything else better!

M1 – good start. I need to organize my thoughts so I have a nice diary to put my missions in. What people see outside is strength and confidence. Inside is a cobweb closet that I need tibwork on. I am on my way

My motivation is that I can DO all things through Christ. My barrier has been NOT doing, just thinking on things and procrastinating, so I am visualizing a cross in the capital D (extending it up and over to the left) That is my visual. And it is motivating just to think about the phrase “It’s not what you know, but what you DO”. I am motivated to DO so that I can honor my body and it can be used for good!

I just started today with mission 1. I was surprised by some of the things I wrote. I just let my brain dump out all of the reasons. It’s funny but the one that excites me most is, “I want to look hot in a bikini.” I’m not sure where that came from. I’m 54 years old and reasonably fit, but “hot in a bikini” is a stretch goal, but when I’m properly motivated. I can do anything!
