Day 30: Spread Your Weight-Loss Awesomeness Across Your Life | 30-Day Weight Loss-athon
30
Apr
It’s time for the final day of the 30-Day Weight Loss-athon. What a journey it’s been!
All tasks in the 30-Day Weight Loss-athon are adapted from my 52 Weight Loss Missions program.
Read the steps first, then take 10 minutes to think about and complete them. Ready?
What You Need:
- A good look at what you’ve achieved over the past month.
Step 1
As you lose weight, you’ll enjoy a greater sense of self-mastery.
You’ll think, Hey I did that!
Then you’ll start to think, I wonder what else can I do..?
You’ll see yourself as capable of impressive things, and it’s natural that you’ll want to apply this new-found confidence to other areas of life.
This is fantastic, because it creates an upward spiral in your life – every success gives you greater confidence and motivation to cross-fertilize everything else.
And that means you can end up with further weight-loss success too.
Now that you know what you’re capable of, let’s raise the standard elsewhere in your life, too.
So as our first step, let’s decide to spread the confidence around.
Step 2
So… where else can you expect more of yourself?
For example, you may feel drawn to one or more of these:
- No longer reading magazines that put people down
- Dressing better every day
- Making more effort with your grooming or appearance
- Focusing on your posture – standing, sitting and walking tall
- Speaking up in meetings
- Asking for what you want – graciously but clearly
- Giving up junk entertainment – TV shows, books and movies that don’t enrich your life
- Giving up gossip
- Being more positive
- Showing more kindness
- Learning public speaking
- Reading inspiring books and biographies
- Learning a new skill
- Seeking a promotion at work
- Decluttering your home
- Organizing your home
- Organizing your life and goals
- Designing a new life
- Organizing your business.
Make a list of ways in which you’d like to raise your standards across your life. Only add things to your list if they inspire you.
Step 3
Now, ask yourself what you have to do in order to hold yourself accountable and put these changes into practice. What actions do you need to complete?
Bonus Step For 52 Weight Loss Missions Members
Review the examples of actions for each suggestion in Step 2 from Mission 52: Raise Your Standards.
Step 4
Whatever areas you’ve chosen for higher standards in your life, make sure you’ve identified the actions you’ll complete in order to put them into practice.
Then, either start them now, or assign them to a specific date in your diary. And do them.
Because, remember: in all areas of your life, including weight loss, it’s not what you know – it’s what you do!
In this program you’ve applied that principle and taken action in 30 important ways. Congratulations! You are amazing.
Now, let taking action be your mantra in the rest of your life.
What are you waiting for? Go be amazing in whole new ways.

And you’re done!

I love this website. I did the 52 missions last year and am still cleaning out my home and my life. Thanks Michelle x.
I have a long way to reach my weight goals and I´ve learned that the best thing is going step by step. And I can do it! Thanks Michelle and all the people in this program.:-)).
Thank you all! Learned a lot and enjoyed it. And now? Taking more action in all areas!
It´s all simple by it´s own but together it´s a big deal.
Thanks for giving us the chance to see this big deal step by step.
Sure wish I could afford the 52 week one…Thanks Michelle for the 30 days. They have helped me so much.
Thank you for these 30 days, and the last tips are the best, and things to keep working on. Great tips and motivating action!
It has been a gr8 month of shared ideas, comments. For me three ‘action’ steps will be the focus for my personal rejuvenation – Asking for what you want – graciously but clearly Being and remaining more positive, Learning a new skill. Thanks for sharing your thoughts/expertise on this topic with us! The Best is Yet to Come.
HAHA! I have pulled out and updated my Get organized planners and diaries and last week did it for three days. This week the goal is four. I am finding that sometimes with the list I get over ambitious and end up defeating the entire purpose. So now I’m going to move a little more slowly and gear up to start getting more organized each week until it becomes a habit. My old clothes are also fitting again, so I have a much more varied wardrobe than a month ago. Things are looking up!
I cannot believe how fast the month flew by! There are still several areas that I need to work on, so I’m putting them on my goals list to use when I plan each month. On Step 2’s list, I already had thought about some of these over the last month, and now I want to start putting those into practice as well. I have to remember that I cannot change everything including my weight over night, so I must start with small changes which leads to a healtier life change especially my attitude. Thank you, Michele, for this Weight Loss-athon, and thank you, online friends, for your kind words and support!
My next goal now that I’ve got eating under control is to get the house under control! I guess you could say I’m a bulimic house cleaner. I’m great at getting it clean and tidy but keeping it that way? So, that’s my new goal. For a number of reasons I need to have my new strategies in place before Christmas. Having people over regularly will help as I almost always clean up for visitors. I enjoy entertaining so it will be a huge emotional positive for me to be able to do so without embarrassment. I also want to instill the positive routines I will develop in my children so they don’t struggle as I have done. I now consciously eat so I vow to consciously clean and tidy. What a difference some a small thing can make!
I have learned the importance of posture since going thru Physical Therapy late last year. As I have increased my exercise I have found that my muscles are starting to pull me into a better posture automatically. I am going with that! Listening to my body is an important aspect of health.
THANK-you! <3
Thanks so much, I am working at it everyday!
This has all definitely helped me! Thank you!
