Shock Result! Study Finds Women Worry About Their Weight
30
May
A recent study looked at the things Australians worry about – and number three for women was weight.
Despite my facetious title for this post, that’s not a shock to anyone. We all know that most of us girls think about weight somewhere on the scale between a crapload and obsessively.
What’s disturbing is that for 60 per cent of women the worry was at levels that interfered with their quality of life. Which means these women are living their lives under a constant shadow.
If your quality of life is affected by worries about weight-loss, then, to misquote Bobby McFerrin, don’t worry, take action.
It’s harder to feel worried when your attention and energy are being directed toward doing something about your concerns. When you’re not taking action, all those resources are fully available for fretting.
There are personal trainers, gyms, books, walking groups, weight-loss clubs, weight-loss programs and websites galore to give you ideas, support and motivation.
Find anything that inspires you, and do something. And do it today.
A little bit of action goes a long way toward easing worry.
