30-Day Weight Loss-athon | FAQs

Thanks for all the questions about the 30-Day Weight Loss-athon.
Here are the answers.
Q: What time will each day’s post be available?
There are people doing the 30-Day Weight Loss-athon all around the world.
So that posts are available on or close to the same day (ie, Day 1 = April 1) for most people, I post around midday Sydney time, which is about 3am the same day in London and 10pm the previous day in New York.
You can use World Clock to find out what time this is for you.
Q: Can I get the posts at a different time?
Posts received by email are generated automatically by Google’s FeedBurner service. We’ve now adjusted the default setting to send each post soon after it’s published.
Posts received in a reader via RSS are available immediately.
I also share each post on Facebook and Twitter a couple of times.
And you can get the latest post from the blog anytime after midday in Sydney. And the blog is mobile-optimized, so you can easily read the posts online from your phone or tablet.
Important note about Facebook posts:
Facebook will stop showing my posts in your News Feed unless you like, comment or share. To make sure you continue to see my posts, please like, comment or share!
Q: Can I get previous days’ posts emailed to me?
Posts received by email are generated automatically by Google’s FeedBurner service. Only new posts are generated into emails so it’s not possible to receive past posts as emails.
However, if you’re keen to catch up on past days, then you can access all previous posts from the mobile-optimized blog.
You can also find links to previous posts on Facebook and Twitter (#30DW).
Q: Do I have to do an action every day?
The 30-Day Weight Loss-athon is designed to get you taking action every day. This is the plan.
But if for some reason you miss a day here or there, don’t worry. Leave your check-in on the missed day’s post to maintain your accountability, and then pick up the next day.
Don’t aim for perfection – aim for consistency. It’s what you do most of the time that will get you results.
Q: Do you read all the comments?
With hundreds of comments every day on the blog and Facebook I’m not able to reply to everyone, but I do read all the comments.
You can tell, because I like a comment when I’ve read it.
PS I don’t click like for complaints or whines. 🙂
Q: How is the 30-Day Weight Loss-athon different to the 52 Weight Loss Missions program?
The 30-Day Weight Loss-athon is a free, 30-day program of simple, 10-minute actions that help people tackle diet, exercise and mindset challenges associated with losing weight.
These 10-minute actions are short, simplified extracts of the Missions in 52 Weight Loss Missions – our premium, members-only program.
The 52 Weight Loss Missions Action Pack includes a 200-page e-book, members-only web-content and a number of interactive workbooks and tools.
A 52 Weight Loss Missions iPad App and a 52 Weight Loss Missions Kindle e-Book are also available.
See also the 52 Weight Loss Missions How It Works and FAQs.
Q: Do I have to use Facebook to comment?
We use Facebook commenting because it’s easy for people to comment without having to log in or provide email addresses, and it’s harder for spammers to spam.
This means you need to be logged in to a Facebook account to leave a comment (you can create an account just for commenting if you like).
But you don’t have to visit Facebook. Nor do you have to post your comment to Facebook – there’s a ‘Post to Facebook’ box for you to check or not as you wish.
